A digital broadcast system and a data processing method are provided to be strong against error when transmitting mobile service data through a channel and supply compatibility with an existing receiver. A broadcasting signal in which mobile service data and main service data are multiplexed is received. The received broadcasting signal is demodulated. An identifying information which shows that a data frame of the demodulated broadcasting signal includes service guide information is obtained. The service guide information is decoded from the data frame. A service included in the mobile service data is expressed according to the decoded service guide information.
