SOLUTION: In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a coupler is provided on a support and a productive layer is provided thereon, the thermal recording layer and the protective layer contain an org. amine neutralized substance of a silicone containing graft copolymer having a carboxyl group.
