An arrangement for a motor vehicle comprises an assembly comprising a body shell side (10), a reinforcer (11) and a lining (12) all assembled with one another, in which the reinforcer (11) is interposed between the body shell side (10) and the lining (12). The arrangement comprises a roof element of an opening sunroof (14) or of a fixed-glass roof (15) and at least one rabbet extension (13) supported by said assembly and configured to form a support for said roof element. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising such an arrangement.
