PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and rapidly produce a vinyl ether compound by reacting a vinyl ether with an alcohol in the presence of the complex of Pd with a nitrogen didentate ligand in the reaction system. SOLUTION: In this method for producing the vinyl ether of the formula: R<1> -CR<2> =CR<3> -OR<5> by reacting (A) a vinyl ether of the formula: R<1> -CR<2> =CR<3> -OR<4> (R<1> -R<3> are each an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, H; R<4> is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl) with (B) an alcohol of the formula: R<5> -OH (R<5> is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, but R<4> is the same as R<4> ), (C) the complex of Pd with a nitrogen didentate (preferably the complex of palladium acetate with 1,10-phenanthroline) is used in the reaction system, and a nitrogen compound capable of being converted into the nitrogen didentate ligand of the component C is used in an amount of 0-100 mole ratio to the palladium atom. |
