The present invention relates to a method for calculating an energy performance index based on an open BIM. More particularly, the present invention relates to an energy performance index (EPI) calculation method which includes a method for improving accuracy and comfortability between them, because an EPI can be directly and automatically calculated when it is based on the open BIM. The method includes a step of generating a building information model and a step of calculating the EPI.
