14-1641 Abstract SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING LOCOMOTIVES A locomotive system (24) includes a first locomotive (20a) having a first locomotive controller (30a) configured to control the operation of the first locomotive (20a) and a first transceiver (40a) and a second locomotive (20b) having a second locomotive controller (30b) configured to control the operation of the second locomotive (20b) and a second transceiver (40b) configured to communicate second locomotive operation data to the first transceiver (40a). The system (24) includes a remote control system (60) including a remote transceiver (70) communicatively connected to the first transceiver (40a) and a remote controller (80) configured to receive an operation data signal indicative of an operation condition of the second locomotive (20b) from the first transceiver (40a).
