The present invention relates to a catalyst used to a reaction for synthesizing acetic acid through a carbonylation reaction of methanol by carbon monoxide. More particularly, the present invention relates to a heterogeneous catalyst which is represented by Rh / W x C (wherein x is an integer of 1 or 2). The heterogeneous catalyst is formed by fixating complex of a rhodium compound and 3-benzoylpyridine on a support body of tungsten carbide.
