摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode material for an electrolytic capacitor, excellent in an etching characteristic by solving the problem that in a conventional aluminium material for an electrolytic capacitor, the etching characteristic of the aluminium material is insufficient, and a method for manufacturing an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, using the electrode material.SOLUTION: Etching is applied on an aluminum foil for an electrolytic capacitor, having a Pb content of 0.3 mass ppm-2.5 mass ppm, and a cube orientation occupancy of 90% or more, and having a characteristic that a Lab-based lightness index (L value) of an aluminium material, measured by a prescribed method after evaluation etching in a prescribed condition satisfies at least either 25-56 for a pretreatment time of 30 seconds, and 27-58 for a pretreatment time of 45 seconds.SELECTED DRAWING: None
