A modular building system for arranging platforms in various heights and orientations, comprising: a plurality of platform modules comprising a top face and a bottom face adapted for being arranged in a horizontal orientation; a plurality of supporting elements for being mounted on the platform modules to support the platform modules in their respective horizontal orientation; wherein a plurality of predefined attachment points for selectively mounting the supporting elements are provided on the top face and/or the bottom face of each of the platform modules, the attachment points comprising primary attachment points defining corners of a rectangular formation, and secondary attachment points arranged along a centreline of the rectangular formation at a distance from one of the corners corresponding to the length of a first longest side of the rectangular formation. |
