Sole for a shoe, preferably a golf shoe, football boot, walking shoe and spiked shoe, which sole comprises a hard- wearing sole 1 in which there is embedded at least one spike 2, preferably several spikes, which spikes consist of a shaft 4 and a pressure pad, and in which the sole is made of a material which is elastic. The pressure pad of the spikes is embedded in the sole, while the shafts themselves are completely or partially exposed. This affords optimum safety against slipping regardless of the nature of the surface, and at the same time the sole is comfortable to walk on. <IMAGE>
