PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of properly selecting either a frequency or a channel of wireless communication used for communication with a device as connection destination.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: a reception unit for receiving an electromagnetic wave state around another communication apparatus acquired by the other communication apparatus; an acquisition unit for acquiring the surrounding electromagnetic wave state; and a selection unit for selecting a frequency of an electromagnetic wave used for communication with the other communication apparatus on the basis of both of the electromagnetic wave states. The selection unit selects a frequency with which influence from other apparatus on reception states of both communication apparatuses is small.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
