PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device that can restrain influences of software errors during continuous operation.SOLUTION: A memory device is configured of data preserving means 1, error correcting means 2, error counting means 3, alternative data preserving means 4 and data selecting means 5. The data preserving means 1 preserves and outputs data in accordance with inputted control signals. The error correcting means 2 generates error correcting data if there is any error in the output data of the data preserving means 1. The error counting means 3 counts the number of errors of which correction has been made at the same address. The alternative data preserving means 4 preserves, when the number of errors has surpassed a preset level, an address whose outputting has been designated with a control signal as an alternative address. The data selecting means 5 outputs, when outputting from the alternative address has been designated, error correcting data in place of data preserved in the data preserving means 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
