PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally control each operation in an inkjet printer after ink replacement in accordance with physical characteristics of new ink and old ink.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 100 comprises: an ink cartridge 24 which is detachably provided in the inkjet printer and stores new ink to be charged into a pressure tank 221 and a negative pressure tank 224 or circulation paths 220a-220c; a storage unit 303 which acquires and stores ink information held in the ink cartridge 24 when the ink cartridge 24 is newly mounted; and a discharge control unit 312 which controls the discharge operation in accordance with physical property information of mixed ink in accordance with the ink compounding ratio of old ink information and new ink information on the basis of the old ink information on the physical property of the ink stored in the pressure tank 221 and the negative pressure tank 224 or the circulation paths before the ink cartridge is mounted and the new ink information on the physical property of the ink stored in the ink cartridge 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
