PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which can protect a sense switching element from surge and detect current of a main switching element with high accuracy by using the sense switching element.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises: a first main electrode and a second main electrode which contact a surface of a semiconductor substrate; a back electrode which contacts a rear face of the semiconductor substrate; a first capacitor electrode arranged on the surface; a first insulation film arranged on the first capacitor electrode; and a second capacitor electrode arranged on the first insulation film. The semiconductor device further comprises: a first insulated gate switching element formed between the first main electrode and the back electrode; and a second insulated gate switching element formed between the second main electrode and the back electrode. Either one of the first main electrode or the second main electrode is electrically connected with the first capacitor electrode and either another of the first main electrode or the second main electrode is electrically connected with the second capacitor electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
