PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal which can be decomposed after installed, can carry out the maintenance favorably, requires no screw processing, needs no large labor and time in the manufacture, and generates no rattling in the axial direction after installing. SOLUTION: In an oil seal 1 in which a support ring 4 supporting seal lips 2 and 3 closely contacted to a shaft slidable is installed at the inner peripheral side of a housing in the condition limiting its movement in one side in the axial direction, a ring form spring 5 deformable elastically in the axial direction is provided at the outer peripheral end of the support ring 4, and the support ring 4 is installed at the inner peripheral side of the housing by a snap ring by utilizing the elastic deformation of the spring 5. |
