Removable film feeding apparatus for a processing tank 16 comprises a U-shaped frame 1 supporting a shaft 5 driven through gears 9, 10; and a shaft 7 below shaft 5 and driven thereby through acid-resistant, plastic chairs 11, 41; film being looped around pulleys 8 on shaft 7 and pulleys 42a, b near the bottom of tank 16. Another shaft 6 is provided for film-loop separators e.g. 22 to 25 and spacers e.g. 26 to 30. Shafts 6, 7 are mounted in clamps 17, 18 vertically adjustable with respect to the frame 1, lower pulleys 42a, b, also provided with separators, are mounted on shafts 42 extending from carriages 43 vertically slideable in tank 16 by rods 45, 46. These rods may operate a signalling device under the action of gravity if the film becomes torn. At least one moisture removing roller e.g. 36 is provided opposite pulleys 31 to 33 on shaft 5. Shafts 6, 7 may each be in two parts Fig. 1 to enable division of tank 16 or may extend right across the frame 1 Fig. 3 (not shown). |
