Automatic tank welding machine for seam - welded tubes

A tack weld is performed on tubes prior to seam welding in a machine fitted with longitudinal transport rollers. Transverse rollers can lift the performed tube off and turn it so that the joint lies vertically. Upper clamping plates can be locked to holding and locating plates on both ends of a tube length. Lower clamping plates face the upper plates and can be pressed against them. Welding heads travel between the clamping plates and complete a tack weld.
