1,169,466. Sliding-clamp fasteners. OPTIHOLDING A.G. 19 June, 1967 [8 July, 1966], No. 28108/67. Heading E2S. In order better to resist deformation,' e.g. during ironing, the top and bottom plates 1 and 2 of a slider of a sliding-clasp fastener have convex outer surfaces so that the overall thickness of the slider is greatest in the region of the wedge-shaped neck 3 extending between the plates, and the guide flanges 4 provided on either or both of the plates are thick so as to present broad surfaces to the stringers and thereby provide additional support for the plates. The latter are preferably circular to avoid any tendency of the slider to tilt during ironing, and they may be recessed to receive catches and pulling members. |
