<p>The fraction of thyroxine (tetriodothronine) circulating freely in the plasma is determined by separating the bound and free fractions of radioactive thyroxine (labelled with I125, I131, C14 or H3) added to the scrum to be analysed. The separation is carried out with a dextran gel (coarse grade Sephadex G25).</p> |
