A device and method of checking data transmission line are provided. In a data processing system whose data exchange is carried out between a master device 10 for transmitting data via a data transmission line and a slave device 20 for receiving data transmitted from the master device 10, data is repeatedly transmitted from the master device 10 to the slave device 20 synchronously with a data transmission clock signal, and fault state of the data transmission line is judged according that a data reception acknowledge signal indicating the data reception from the slave device 20 is sent back or not.
