<p>The strutting for I section mine supports is formed from spacer bolts anchored to the support frames on the underneath side with the bolt ends cranked to bridge over the flanges of the respective support members. The anchor ties (6) span the interval between adjoining frames (1), are hooked (7) at one end and at the far end are threaded (8) to accept U clamps (9) for grasping the frame flanges (5), with the aid of locknuts (11). Eyebolts (12) fitted on the anchors or the frames themselves have their shafts (14) run through holes (15), in the spacer bolts (14) and are secured to these through interposed bearing plates (17) with the assistance of locknuts (18). The plates should extend from the spacer bolt location into the cranked end area (3) and thus close to the frame stay members (2).</p> |
