Sensing breaks of yarns wound on motor spindles - by deriving power input differences as yarn break indications

Breaks of yarns wound on spindles driven by individual motors are sensed in that the variations in power inputs to the motors are used as indications of breaks. Yarn breaks are indicated positively in a contactless manner in spinning or twisting machines which are not provided with electric motor driven goddet rollers.
