PURPOSE:To prevent a vulcanizer and other applicances from being damaged through corrosion and noxious gas from diffusing to atmosphere by a method wherein a green rubber sheet is windingly installed onto the outer peripheral surface of a mold and, after that, a sheet containing gas adsorbent or a chemical reagent is enclosedly installed, the outer peripheral surface of the mold wound with the green rubber sheet and finally pressure and heat are applied from the outer surface of the resultant mold. CONSTITUTION:A green rubber sheet 15 with the predetermined thickness is windingly installed endlessly onto the surface of a mold 11. Next, a canvas sheet or cylindrical rubber jacket J impregnated with gas adsorbent such as activated charcoal or neutralising agent G is installed onto the outer surface of the mold so as to enclose the green rubber sheet 15. Finally, a keep plate 12 is seated onto the mold 11. Under the state that a rubber product is set together with the mold 11 and the jacket J in a vulacanizer 1, vapor with acertain pressure is charged from a vapor charging port 7 so as to pressurize and heat the jacket J therewith in order to vulcanize the green rubber sheet 15. In this case, the noxious substance in the green rubber sheet 15 develops in the form of HCl gas and SO2 gas and is adsorbed by the adsorbent G, which is impregnated and applied in the jacket J. The vapor is exhausted after vulcanization from a discharge port 8. The rubber product 15 is taken out of the vulcanizer 1 by opening its lids 3. |
