FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel assemblies are built up of fuel microelements with multilayer ceramic cladding which are directly cooled with water. External layer is made of silicon carbide or silicyl graphite. End parts of fuel assembly are cooled only by vertical coolant flow and central parts, mainly by cross flow. EFFECT: improved cooling conditions for fuel assemblies; improved safety of reactor. 1 dwg |
