FIELD: agricultural equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has spring-shaped drum mounted on drive shaft inclined at an angle of $$$ of flowing material rest angle. Drum is provided with channels. Drum coils are extending in helical line and channels are defined by spring coils and blades with bent mated ends. Blades are mounted on two adjacent spring coils within drum and inclined one toward another, with space h between coils of sections A, B, C increasing downstream of material flow. During rotation of drum, tubers are movable along channels and are simultaneously advanced along cylinder. Large tubers with sizes exceeding that of small tubers by 3-4 times are not accommodated in channels and roll over channels due to inclination of drum in the direction of motion of product. When sizes of tubers and channels are equal, tubers fall into channel and further onto discharge conveyor. Large fraction is moved by drum and discharged by conveyor. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg |
