PURPOSE:To obtain a recorded picture of good quality at a high speed and without any stroke by fixing the relation between the area W of the wall surface constituting a part of a relay chamber and the total area S of the ports communicating the relay and the operating chambers at a formula W/S>50. CONSTITUTION:An operating block C is formed by joining a photo-sensitive glass substrate having a fixed number of long grooves LV thereon with a laminate made by laying sequentially a heat-accumulating layer 1, a heater-resistor layer 3, an electrode layer 4, a protecting layer 5 and a filler layer 6 on one surface of a substrate plate made, for instance, of alumina. The whole area of the wall-part surface RW of the rear-end face of the operating block C is devised to form one wall surface of a relay chamber IR and a relay-chamber block D is connected with the rear part of the operating block C. If the area of the wall-part surface RW is expressed as W, while the total area of a fixed number of communicating ports provided on the wall-part surface RW by the long grooves LV at S, the value of W/S is designed to be more than 50. |
