PURPOSE:To compensate nonlinearity of a CCD delay equipment, by emphasizing the I signal level according to the Y signal level in the unit where the chrominance subcarrier subjected to quadrature two-phase modulation by two kinds of color signal is frequency-multiplexed to the luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:R, G and B signals are input to matrix circuit 1, and Y, I and Q signals are generated. Subcarriers supplied to balanced modulators 8 and 9 are made into the same phase and are so controlled that the modulated wave applied to adder 3 and the modulated wave applied to adder 6 may have phase difference (n+1/2)pi by CCD delay equipment 5. Modulator 13 emphasizes the level of the I signal according to the level of the Y signal. Thus, nonlinearity of CCD delay equipment 5 can be compensated. |
