FIELD: rider- driven vehicles. SUBSTANCE: carriage unit consists of housing 1, shaft 2 with flange for sprocket 3, and stop mechanism for arresting connecting rods 5 at each end of the shaft. The mechanism comprises stop opening in the shaft and openings in cantilevered boss 6 that are axially alined and stop 7 spring-loaded to the shaft and connected with actuating lever 7 with eccentric axle through flexible connection 8. The eccentric axle is received in the opening in the cantilevered boss. The front and rear arresters at each end of the shaft are symmetrically to the openings.
