PURPOSE:To measure a short time with high precision, by using two sets of lamp generators to convert a time difference to an extended crest value. CONSTITUTION:The first lamp generator is operated by a start signal generated at a time t1, and the second lamp generator is operated by a stop signal generated at a time t2. Initial potentials of signals 51 and 52 which are generated by the first and the second lamp generators respectively are set to different values E01 and E02. When the time difference between the generation of the start signal and that of the stop signal, the time from the time t1 to a time t3 when potentials of signals 51 and 52 coincide with each other, and the difference the initial potential E01 and the coincident potential are denoted as T0, T2, and (h), respectively, the extended time T is proportional to the crest value (h). |
