PURPOSE:To shorten the operating time of a compressor by a method wherein a refrigerant heat collecting operation, heating the supplied hot-water directly by the refrigerant collecting the solar heat, and a heat pump operation, effected by driving the compressor, are selected properly based on the amount of sunshine and the temperature of supplied hot-water. CONSTITUTION:In case a refrigerant temperature, detected by a sensor 16, is lower than a set value, or a supplied hot-water temperature, detected by the sensor 8, is higher than the set value, a control unit 17 closes both bypass circuits 12, 14 by the operations of switching valves 11, 13, drives a motor 2 while stops a circulating pump 15, and heats the supplying hot water by the heat pump operation effected by the compressor 3. On the other hand, in case the refrigerant temperature is higher than the set value and the supplied hot-water temperature is lower than the set value, the refrigerant is circulated by the circulating pump 15 and the compressor 3 is stopped to effect the supplied hot- water heating operation by collecting the heat by the refrigerant. When the supplied hot-water temperature has exceeded the upper limit set value, the motor and the circulating pump are stopped. Accordingly, electric power consumption may be reduced remarkably. |
