PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte for a fused carbonate fuel cell which is stable to a heat cycle and whose internal resistance is small by using an electrolyte holding material composed of inorganic oxide powder having a specific particle diameter and inorganic composite oxide fiber whose diameter, length and aspect ratio are specified. SOLUTION: An electrode plate for a fused carbonate fuel cell is formed by using inorganic oxide powder having an average diameter of 0.05 to 0.3m as an electrolyte holding material and inorganic composite oxide fiber whose diameter is 5 to 30 times an average diameter of the electrolyte holding material and length is not more than 50m and aspect ratio is 5 to 30 as a strength improving material. For example, lithium aluminate power is used as the inorganic oxide powder, and for example, lithium alminate fiber is used as the inorganic composite oxide fiber. The strength improving material is constituted in the weight ratio of about 10 to 40% to the electrolyte holding material. This electrolyte plate is layered, and a nickel type porous body anode and a nickel oxide type porous body cathode are arranged above and below it, and the fused carbonate fuel cell is assembled. |
