A fluid-metering device is described, especially for metering fuel in the carburettor system of an internal combustion engine. It comprises an appliance for generating a vibration of the fluid in a chamber. In addition, means are provided for ducting off a fluid flow directed in one direction through a flow resistance which depends on the flow direction. The appliance for generating the vibrations of the fluid is formed by a vibrating body (8) which in its turn forms a wall of a chamber (17, 18) in which, as the vibrating plate is excited, fluid vortices (19, 20) are produced. <IMAGE>
