A side window of a vehicle with an essentially triangular window frame has a window pane which is displaceably guided along a rear essentially vertical frame section. In the partially opened state of the side window, an opening gap is cleared between a front frame section and a front edge of the window pane so that essentially draught-free ventilation of the interior of the vehicle is possible. Furthermore, the noise level in the interior of the vehicle is considerably reduced by means of this arrangement.
