A carrying apparatus for skis (2), consisting of a carrying belt (4) and two fixing members (6, 7), is to be so constructed that it creates no inconvenience during skiing, for example in a pocket of the ski clothing. It is proposed that the carrying strap (4) be provided in a manner such as to be retractable into a reel-up housing, preferably integrated in the fixing member (6). The carrying strap (4) is to have a length such that the skis (2) can be hung on, around or in front of a shoulder. <IMAGE>
