The multi-purpose drawing instrument has the shape of a right-angled drawing triangle, is of briefcase size and is provided with scales (7) for measuring lengths in various units and scales (8) for measuring angles and drawing sectors. A point (1) serves firstly for the precise setting of angles and secondly as a "compass tip" for drawing large circles (40-558 mm O). Cut-outs (6) serve as circular templates for the smaller diameters. <IMAGE>
