PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an optical fiber gyro in such a way that the input axis of the optical fiber gyro is set in an arbitrary position inside the same face as a mounting plane or inside a plane parallel to the mounting plane. SOLUTION: An optical fiber gyro is provided with an optical fiber coil 1 constituted in such a way that an optical fiber 11 is wound on the winding shaft 13 of a spool 12. The optical fiber gyro is provided with a cylindrical housing 7 comprising a mounting flange 2 by which the optical fiber gyro is attached to a moving object. Then, the optical fiber coil 1 is housed in, and mounted on, the cylindrical housing 7 in such a way that the direction of the winding shaft 13 is made parallel to the mounting plane 21 of the mounting flange 2. |
