PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform a super plastic processing easily and efficiently even in case of large workpieces, by providing a furnace section holding a workpiece to raise its temperature to a predetermined temperature, a press section pressing the heated workpiece at a predetermined speed in the holding direction and a control section controlling the pressing operation. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency induction heater raises the temperature in a tank 11 to the maximum of 2,200 deg.C and makes a vacuum of 10<-2>torr. At a low speed displacement setting part 32 and a high speed displacement setting part 33, and a pressure setting part 35 for low speed and a pressure setting part 36 for high speed in a control section 30, it is possible to set the displacement speed to be 40mm/min. and the maximum pressure to be 500kgf/cm<2> at high speed, and the displacement speed to be 0.02mm/min.-3mm/min. and the maximum pressure to be 5,000kgf/cm<2> at low speed, wherein the maximum pressure means the maximum transmission torque of the hysteresis clutch 25 at a press part 20, and when the torque of a servo motor 26 is more than a preset value, the hysteresis clutch 25 starts to slide to prevent the addition of more than necessary pressure to an axis 13a. |
