PURPOSE:To easily replace a type wheel by conducting the detections of the print starting position of a carriage, the replacing state of the wheel and the state of a printing position by a lever rotatable with respect to the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A lever 17 is rotatably provided at a shaft 18 of the lower face of a carriage 3, and the shorter end 17a of the lever 17 is slid in a contact state with the outer periphery of a cam 13 by the operation of a returning spring extended between a spring hook and a spring hole opened at the lever 17. The height of a ribbon cassette 8 is varied by the rotating position of the cam 13, thereby performing a printing state for aligning a print ribbon 7 to the type of a daisy wheel 5 and a standby state for confirming by a user a printed character immediately after a printing operation by reducing the ribbon 7 from the type. A release lever 40 rotated under the guidance of a guide hole to the carriage 3 is provided, thereby easily removing it when the wheel 5 is replaced. |
