<p>PURPOSE:To obtain at a low price a good golf club having high strength, a excellent property of repulsion, etc., by integrally forming both a head part having a core body and a hollow shaft part by a crust made of fiber reinforced plastics which forms both the parts. CONSTITUTION:A head part 1 having a core body 4 made of rigid urethane foam and a hollow shaft part 2 are integrally formed so as not to have a joined surface by a crust 3 made of carbon fiber reinforced plastics and the strength and shape of a golf club are kept. In the manufacture of the golf club the core body 4 is fit which roughly has a shape of the head part and a plurality of roving-fixing members 11 to one end of a core bar 21, and roving 20 impregnated with resin is filament-wound around the core body 4 and the core bar 21, and it is hardened by heating. After the core bar 21 is drawn out, the crust 3 made of fiber reinforced plastics having both the head part 1 and the shaft part 2 is formed, and a grip 6, a sole plate, etc., are fitted to the crust 3. Since there is no place where stress concentrates because of not having the joined surface, enough strength is obtained, and the loss of transmitted force is not produced, and, in case of a driver club, a driven distance is increased.</p> |
