A drum cutting machine mounted on a mobile conveyor has an additional drum revolving on a vertical axis, mounted to the side of the machine on the free end of a jib. A swinging shaft comprising telescopic hub and shaft components (15,16) in friction contact has grooves (19) connected by channels (21), and an oil feeder channel (26). By pressure medium the mutual expansion of the hub and shaft (15,16) is revocable for an axial relative movement. USE/ADVANTAGE - Whilst in operation the swinging shaft has a bearing free of play.
