The facade is made of sheet metal panels (6) and is fixed to a wall (1) by means of brackets (11) and a fixing strip (2). This fixing strip (2) is made from an extrusion of U-shaped cross-section. The flanges (11) of this section have longitudinal grooves (13) of T-shaped cross-section. These grooves (13) receive hooks (10) which have an extension with a contour which matches the groove. These hooks (10) are secured by screws (45) and receive the shanks of bolts (9) which are fixed to the flanges (12) of the panels (6). The vertical distance between the bearing surfaces (38) of the hooks (10) is slightly greater than the vertical distance between the bolts (9) so that the weight of the panel (6) is taken on the upper bolt.
