The system automatically determines the coordination of sensors with the motion of a vehicle (6). It involves a measuring unit (2) with several sensors and also a unit for evaluating signals to be combined together, belonging to a part of the data detecting equipment (1) installed in the vehicle and suited for a reconstruction of the movement path. The course or progress of the output signals of similar sensors is detected in a given interval of time and these output signals are combined logically with another signal, which is generated by a unit on the vehicle and is allocated in a single-valued and known way to a direction of movement of the vehicle. A particular sensor is related to that movement in a definite direction, for which the course of the output signal shows significant changes in value. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly and mounting of the data detecting equipment has been simplified and the measuring unit has been independent of its installed position. It is suitable for `black box' designs.
