The receptacle for stacks of waste paper has a rectangular base (12) from which wall-sections (14) point upwards. The base and walls form a cube-shaped container-space (16) open at the top. The base has intersecting guide-grooves (18) extending diagonally from the corners (20); the walls have guide-fitments movably held in the grooves to adjust the walls' position in relation to the base. Each wall has a base-part (26) from which protrude vertical surfaces (26) together forming a rectangular angle-piece (30). The two flat sections (28) of each angle-piece (30) are held together by a right-angled fastening (32) on the top rim furthest from the base (26). ADVANTAGE - The receptacle's cubic interior can be almost continually changed or adjusted to the shape of the waste paper in the form of periodicals and newspapers it holds.
