A portable game board has a board member with an iron foil embedded therein so that magnetic game pieces are magnetically attracted to the board. The board member comprises an upper surface layer 4 formed of a smooth and flat transparent synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride, a paper layer 5 printed thereon with various patterns 5a, suitably designed for a game, a thin iron foil layer 6, a cardboard layer 7, and a base layer 8 formed of the same synthetic resin as the upper surface layer 4. The upper surface layer and the base layer are heat-welded together at outer peripheral edges thereof. The board can be given a folding line so as to be pocketable. <IMAGE>
