摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To protect a passing trouble and variation of plate thickness, plate width by calculating an advancing rate from the measured speed of a material to be rolled and the peripheral speed of a roll and determining a correction of the peripheral speed of a roll. CONSTITUTION:The speeds of the material to be rolled are measured by speed detecting devices 3k, 3l. Numbers of revolution of motors of stands 2k, 2l are detected by detecting devices 5k, 5l of the numbers of revolution. Advancing rates of an (i)th stand and an (i-1)th stand are calculated respectively by arithmetic units 10k, 10l of advancing rates. Further, plate thicknesses on the outlet sides of the (i)th and (i-l)th stands are calculated by arithmetic units 11k, 11l of plate thickness from the detected signals of rolled load detecting devices 7k, 71 and draft position detecting devices 9k, 9l. Correctins of speed which do not change a mass flow between the (i)th stand and the (i-l)th stand are calculated by a speed controller 13 from these calculated values, and outputted to a mill motor 41 on the upstream side to control the speed.</p>
