<p>PURPOSE:To measure the length of a zone surely and quickly by only moving each zone of a continuous processing line of material. CONSTITUTION:A material 1 in which a distance L between two position identification parts 21, 22 in a zone of a continuous processing line is established is moved, further, a zone inlet side material position detector 35 and a zone outlet side material position detector 32 are arranged on the inlet side of the zone and on the outlet side of the zone, furthermore, a pass length measurer 41 to measure the pass length of the material is arranged on the inlet side of this zone. After a correction coefficient is required from both a measured distance between two position identification parts measured by a pass length measurer 41 when a position detection from a zone inlet side material position detector is conducted and the above-mentioned known distance L, continuously, a zone length is obtained by multifying the above-mentioned correction coefficient to the measured zone length obtained from two material pass lengths measured with a pass length measurer when the position has been detected from the zone inlet side material position detector and the zone outlet side material position detector.</p> |
