PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the subject derivative useful for herbicides, etc., by reacting a 2-amino-4,6-disubstituted-1,3,5-triazine, etc., with diphenyl carbonate and subsequently with 3-(substituted hydrazino)benzenesulfonamide derivative. CONSTITUTION:A 2-amino-4,6-disubstituted-1,3,5-triazine or pyridine of formula I (X<1> is 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, chlorine; X<2> is 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy; Z is N, CH) is reacted with diphenyl carbonate to produce a phenyl carbamate derivative of formula II. The compound of formula II is not isolated and is reacted with a 3-(substituted hydrazino)benzenesulfonamide derivative of formula III [R<1> is 1-4C alkyl, monochloromethyl, 3-4C alkenyl, 1-4C alkoxy, pyridyl, thienyl, (substituted)phenyl, etc.; R<2> is H, 1-4C alkyl; R<3> is 1-4C alkyl] to obtain the objective N-substituted-3-(substituted hydrazino)benzenesulfonamide derivative of formula IV. |
