The fastening device is for a water tap (1) which projects out in front of the wall surface and is connected to a flexible pipeline (10c) behind the wall surface. The pipeline is connected to an elbow (10b) with a nut (10a) connecting it to a pipe (8) running horizontally through the wall. There are grooves (8a) in the top surface of the pipe engaging with a spring (15a,15d) projecting into a bore in a holding plate through which the pipe passes.
