PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to manufacture an alkaline secondary battery having a positive electrode of large capacity and a large utilization factor by improving the positive electrode. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing an alkaline secondary battery involves a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator laid between the positive and the negative electrodes, and an alkaline electrolyte. For the manufacture of the positive electrode, an alkaline aqueous solution with bivalent cobalt type dissolved therein is sprayed to nickel compound particles and, then, the particles are immediately dried, thereby preparing paste containing the nickel compound particles. Thereafter, a current collector is filled with the paste. |
