摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganese lithium secondary battery of large capacity having a good cycle characteristic by using a lithium manganese oxide for a positive electrode. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, a compound containing a lithium manganese oxide composed of LiMn2 O4 and LiMn3 O6 , with the value of a lattice constant a0 assigned with a cubic system Fd3m between 8.11Å and 8.13Å, as well as positive ion trivalent manganese is mixed with a lithium compound to have a mole ratio of Mn/Li between 1.0 and 1.8. Then, the mixture is thermally treated at temperature equal to or lower than 350 deg.C. Then, the product so prepared is used for a positive electrode of a Li secondary battery.
